Six months ago it was $364 billion. Now it's $650 billion. Free cash flow collapsing. Amazon may raise debt. The procurement mindset doesn't scale forever.
"Every engineering leader I know is asking the same question: are we building infrastructure for real demand, or are we building monuments to institutional momentum?"
There is demand for computation just not of this kind and not in data centers. All this momentum to heading into a ditch. Too bad, a lot of wasted time, energy, materials and public trust. From all of that the later ts the most important. We f.. thst up we will s4lf push few steps back when in really need to go forward.
The public trust part is what worries me most too. When the correction comes, it won't distinguish between the real applications and the monuments. Everything AI gets tarred with the same brush, and the useful stuff gets defunded along with the waste.
