As I read this part, I thought, 'well, of course.' It makes total sense that, in my opinion, one of the most valuable and substantive SubStacks on AI for the coding professional, is authored by someone living and working in Ukraine.

We've had fascism in (fading) living memory here in Europe, we know when to distrust money teaming up with power. The US of AI will have to learn the hard way. Tragically, for the entire planet.
The concern is legitimate. But distrust of concentrated power hasn't stopped Europe from becoming dependent on it. It just meant Europe wasn't paying attention while the dependency was forming.
Knowing when to distrust isn't the same as knowing what to build instead.
"Nobody in Kyiv is asking whether their autonomous navigation module has an adequate risk management system under Article 9 of the AI Act. They’re asking whether it hits the target."
Maybe you could send one to Berlaymont to make the point

The fiber would run out somewhere over Poland. Though the paperwork to export it legally might take longer than the flight.
